RF/Field Service Specialist
Location:
Grande Prairie, AB
Primary Function:
As an RF/Field Service Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, testing and maintenance/service of new and existing fixed and mobile two-way radio systems.
Responsibilities:
- RF telecom VHF/UHF preliminary design and analysis
- Provide technical advice for equipment selection/changes, software/hardware parameters and other wireless network equipment which improve sustain quality performance
- Perform RF site surveys to gather information on existing installation or for preparing solutions for new installations
- Prepare select sections of technical reports, specifications, standards and drawings for internal and external distribution
- Application of RF technical theory to perform coverage, capacity and interference analysis
- Equipment racking and wiring in shop environment
- Testing and commissioning of RF Telecom equipment/systems in the shop and the field
- Tuning, calibration and integrating duplexers, multicouplers, transmitters, receivers
- Interpreting bid requirements to prepare preliminary responses to RFI's, RFQ's and RFP's
- Managing client expectations in the field and escalating as necessary

Knowledge and Education Requirements:
- Experienced in VHF/UHF repeaters, base stations, mobiles, portables, and programming/testing/commissioning
- Knowledge and understanding of balanced and unbalanced signals, analogue and digital sources, DTMF, CTCSS and circuit board implementation
- Knowledge and understanding of RF communications in two-way radio theory and applications including intermodulation analysis and mitigation
- Ability to create preliminary designs for a viable VHF or UHF RF link or system
- Proficient with test equipment such as; spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, power meters, service monitors, OTDR, antenna testers, cameras, GPS, etc
- Knowledge and understanding of DC power systems, dispatch consoles, media converters, external amplifiers, interconnect/patch panels with the ability to integrate into a functional system
- Capable of putting telecom and network equipment in a rack and wiring as per drawings
- Desirable to have understanding of network infrastructure in an ISP industry
- Desirable to have understanding of basic IT requirements
- Self starter and ability to manage multiple competing priorities

Regional Operations Manager
Location:

Primary Function:
Oversee the day to day operation of the regional communications group. The focus of responsibility is to communicate and execute the strategic operations direction of the company as well as creating and maintaining corporate alliances and partnerships within a region. To manage and grow specific accounts in key markets, build relationships with long standing and prospective new clients with the goal of growing PCC Communications Inc. reputation and opportunities. Demonstrate effective revenue projection management, deliver quality products and services in a timely manner, budget reporting and customer relationship management.
Relationships:
The Regional Operations Manager is required to establish and grow relationships with key management personnel within our customer base. The objective is to solidify relationships that set PCC Communications Inc. apart from the competition and give us the advantage in a competitive environment. The Regional Operations Manager will also need to interact and lead by example with all PCC Communications Inc. personnel.
Goals:
The Regional Operations Manager will drive revenue generating activity towards a defined structure designed by and agreed to by the GM of Communications.
Responsibilities:
- Review active jobs weekly with supervisors to ensure that problems are identified and dealt with.
- Maintain written accounts for each job and accurately follow up to ensure maximization of business needs and profit.
- Provide instruction and coaching on an ongoing basis to staff.
- Conduct site visits to ensure jobs are being done professional, efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Follow up with each supervisor to ensure customers are being properly serviced and provide proactive feedback to develop future service needs.
- Provide reports of the action and forecasts as required and ensure that communication on all vectors is being upheld.
- Develop strategic plans in order to grow PCC Communications Inc.
- Train supervisors to look for opportunities to up sell at each job site.
- Ensure efficient scheduling of resources including crews and equipment.
- Manage the health and safety aspect of the region. This includes reporting, training, and prevention actions in accordance with the safety policy and applicable legislation.
- Create annual budget for business Region.
Administration:
- Ensure that Purchase Orders are produced and entered into the financial system in a timely fashion and that invoices and field labor reports are reviewed, corrected and approved.
- Ensure that projects are entered into the financial s system in a timely manner and that accurate pricing and costing can be compared to the budget.
- Review, correct and approve all expense and field labor reports.
- Ensure that all direct and indirect reports are created in accordance with all Company Policies and Procedures
- Review and control expenses.
- Provide monthly reporting and attend and participate in monthly meetings.
- Ensure that supervisors maintain an online bid status file.
- Create business unit reports monthly as defined by the GM of Communications. Includes: forecast and the sales activity, customer activity, bid activity, quality, summary update for month reported and any other significant issues.
- Participate in monthly business unit reviews with the GM of Communications for profitability, and cash flow.
- Create a summary report monthly showing bid margins, actual margins and on-time performance. Additional detailed cost analysis should be provided for jobs that are significantly different than estimated.
- Create monthly safety reports indicating all near misses and accident and the corrective action taken.

Sales Representative

Primary Function:
The Sales Rep. will assist the Regional Sales manager in the activities of a defined client base. They are responsible for all sales activities in assigned accounts or regions. Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery. The focus of responsibility is to communicate and service the customer base. In addition, they will create new opportunity for PCC Communications through value-added performance and relationship management and partnerships.

The Sales Rep must drive revenue generating activity towards a defined structure of MBO's. The main goal is to exceed revenue targets per account and capture additional market share.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in service of assigned account base
- Execute assigned MBO's
- Exceed revenue targets at each account
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project number of contracts to be made
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
